How a specification becomes a shipment — and what documentation travels with it.
Our approach
Six things we do on every consignment
None of this is unusual. What matters is that it happens every time, not only when someone asks.
Written specification first
Nothing is quoted against a description. Every line has a written specification — physical, chemical and, where relevant, microbiological — agreed before the order is confirmed.
Incoming verification
Consignments are checked against that specification on arrival. A lot that does not match is not blended in or quietly passed on; it is rejected.
Independent analysis
Where a buyer or a destination market requires it, we arrange pre-shipment analysis by an independent agency and supply the report with the documents.
Storage discipline
Storage conditions are matched to the product: temperature and humidity limits, stacking height limits, and stock rotation so nothing sits past its useful life.
Traceability
Each despatch is traceable to its incoming lot and its certificate of analysis, so a query six months later can still be answered properly.
Documentation as a deliverable
The paperwork is part of the product. COA, origin, phytosanitary and fumigation documents are prepared in-house and checked before despatch.

What we state in writing
- Allergen declaration
- Declared per product. Peanut, milk and soya-derived materials are identified explicitly on the specification.
- GMO status
- Declared per product where the material has a GMO-relevant origin.
- Vegetarian status
- Declared per product.
- Shelf life
- Stated on each specification, with storage conditions that the stated shelf life depends on.
Certifications
Being documented
We are in the process of compiling our certification documentation for publication on this page. Rather than list claims we cannot yet evidence, we would prefer to publish the certificates themselves.
If your procurement process needs a specific certificate, licence or audit report from us, ask and we will tell you plainly whether we hold it and send it across if we do.
